Sahili Amaro

Sahilí was born in Bejucal. Her mother and her sister studied English Language at the University of Havana and she carried on with the family tradition of learning foreign languages but German was her first choice. She started working as a tour guide in Cuba as a part time job during College and she loved the experience. She loves Cuban history, music, culture and nature and enjoys to share it with the guests. She also likes hiking. She loves reading and cooking (or reading a cook book!). She has a unique sense of humor of loves being able to crack jokes with people from all over the world. She now lives in Havana with her 1 year old baby girl.
Maria Rosa

María Rosa was born and raised in Havana, Cuba and for many she is as Cuban as it gets. She started guiding as a part time job during her last year of college. After graduating, she worked as a teacher in the university of Havana and continued guiding part-time until eventually she decided to do it full time. She loves teaching and she found guiding equally rewarding. She met her husband while guiding on a kayak trip and from that moment on she joined our adventure family. She has worked for Row since 2016 from Cuba and now from Portland, Oregon where she has lived for the past 2 years with her husband and her 4 Cuban fur babies.
Jose Antonio Leyva Moreno

Jose Antonio Leyva Moreno, also known as Tony, was born and raised in Havana. He has been guiding in his home country for more than 10 years, mainly focused on specialized tourism throughout all of Cuba. Through growing up in Cuba and guiding travelers from all over around the world through his home, he’s picked up passions for kayaking, trekking, birding, and cycling. He loves showing the beauty of Cuba through active travel. He is also a firm believer that dancing your way through Cuba is the best way to go!
Amaury David Monzón León

Originally from from Cienfuegos, Amaury now lives in the Cienfuegos city center with his wife and two kids. He studied at the Universidad Central de Santa Clara not far from his hometown where he graduated with a degree in Social Communication and a Masters in Communication Sciences. During his undergraduate studies, he was a part of the Cuban National Kayak team for nearly two years. Continuing his love for kayaking and sharing his home with others, Amaury now works as a kayak, bike, and trekking guide for Cuba Aventuras. Amaury is always eager to help and is very clever, resourceful when it comes to handling all sorts of issues. He loves sports, nature, active trips, etc.
Ramon

Ramon was born and raised in Cienfuegos. Growing up in Cuba gave him a passion for music and nature from a very young age. Today, Ramon is certificated in sea kayak instruction and rescue skills, group management, risk management, and interpretive techniques, all of which he uses when guiding with Cuba Unbound. Ramon is easygoing, adaptable, a team player, and loves sharing the nature and culture of his home.
Reniel Monzon Jimenez

His name is Reniel Monzon Jimenez, but everyone calls him Rey. Born in Havana on March 13, 1982, Rey graduated from university in 2005 with a specialization in languages, specifically English. He currently works as a tour guide, a role he has excelled in for over 8 years. This career has allowed him to share the rich culture and unique idiosyncrasies of Cuba with visitors. Rey loves cycling, kayaking, trekking, and dancing. He thoroughly enjoys his job and believes it is the best in the world.
Hugo Marcos Ramírez Castro

Hugo Marcos Ramírez Castro, originally from Havana, was born on April 10, 1986. He graduated as a lawyer from the University of Havana. Since 2013, Hugo has worked in the tourism sector, proficient in French, Spanish, and English. He is passionate about outdoor sports, nature, culture, and cultural exchange. Hugo leads walking tours, bicycle and kayak adventures, serves as a driver guide, and enjoys scuba diving.
Luis Nelson

Originally from Cienfuegos, Luis is married and has two daughters. Luis studied physical culture at the Fajardo University in Havana, and dedicated many years to play sports. As an avid Taekwondo athlete for much of his life, he eventually transitioned to coaching and eventually achieved the status of a national referee and head of rules and provincial arbitration.
For over a decade, he has shifted his focus towards nautical and nature activities, working as a kayak instructor. Known for being cheerful and dynamic, Luis loves making those around him feel good. His passion for the outdoors and commitment to ensuring others enjoy their experiences make him a valued guide and instructor.
Harry Díaz

Born and raised in Cienfuegos, Harry has always been fascinated by music, languages, and nature from a young age. He is certified by Cuba Unbound in rescue techniques and kayak instruction, showcasing their dedication to safety and expertise in outdoor activities. As an active and enthusiastic individual, Harry thrives in teamwork environments, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Additionally, he is deeply family-oriented, valuing close-knit connections and shared experiences.
Yodanis Robert

Yodanis is originally from Cienfuegos, and to this day considers it one of the most beautiful cities in all of Cuba. His native language is Spanish, and he is also fluent in French and English. Known for being easygoing, reliable, polite, and genuinely honest, he enjoys sports activities, listening to music, and discussing history. Yodanis is also passionate about ecosystems, animals, and nature, and is currently studying at the university to earn a bachelor's degree in English. He has two beautiful daughters who mean everything to him, and being a father is his greatest achievement. He believes that punctuality, professionalism, and politeness are the keys to success.
