Guide since 2011: CO, UT, OR. Joined ROW in 2013. Angie Fuhrmann began her nomadic lifestyle at two weeks old, moving from her birth state, Nevada, to Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, and eventually Arizona by the time she finished high school. After completing her bachelor's degree at Northern Arizona University, she attended Colorado State University and earned a Master's in Anthropology. While in college she worked as a hiking guide at Grand Canyon and discovered her passion for sharing the outdoors with others. Not long after, she discovered rafting and traded in her hiking boots for river sandals to become a raft guide. After a rafting trip in Oregon, Angie was drawn to the beauty of the Northwest. She did a short stint with a county health department before returning to raft guiding with ROW on the Rogue River. When not on the river, she is usually found wandering in the woods hunting for edible mushrooms or traveling in Latin America. In the off season, Angie teaches anthropology courses for an online university and leads gap year adventure programs for young adults.
