You’ll also get to try your hand at Cuban mixology, take a classic car ride through Havana’s colorful neighborhoods, and enjoy nightly dinners at Havana’s finest paladares, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy live music and good conversation.

Day 1 - Welcome to Havana
Arrive in Havana before noon. Meet your local guide and head to Old Havana for lunch. Then with our stomachs full, we will enjoy a walking tour of Old Havana (Habana Vieja), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore cobblestone streets, colonial plazas, and historical landmarks like Plaza de Armas, Plaza Vieja, and the Cathedral of Havana. Learn about the city's rich history, vibrant street life, and unique architectural blend of Baroque and Neoclassical styles.
Then we will transfer to our accommodations to get some rest and get ready to go out for dinner at a private restaurant (paladar), possibly with live Cuban music. There are plenty of options for evening activities to accommodate your group.
There are many options for evening activities. Fabrica de Arte Cubano, for example, is a fantastic blend of art galleries, bars, performance venues and hip. It is currently open from Thursday to Sunday and it closes every 3 or 4 months. If open, we will visit Fabrica de Arte in the evening.

Day 2 - Culinary and Cultural Immersion
This morning we will participate in a cooking class led by a local woman entrepreneur who will offer a unique culinary experience and will guide you step by step to prepare a delicious lunch, blending local flavors and traditional know-how.
Engage in conversation about the challenges and successes of running a private business in Cuba’s evolving economy. Then, enjoy the meal you've prepared together as a group. After lunch, enjoy a performance by a dance troupe that blends Afro-Cuban rhythms, percussion, and modern choreography. After the show, we head back to our accommodations to freshen up and go out for another delicious dinner in one of Havana's finest restaurants that is woman-owned.

Day 3 - Creative Enterprise and Art Exploration
We will start the morning with a visit to a woman-owned fashion boutique that uses recycled materials to create sustainable clothing and accessories. Learn about eco-fashion in Cuba and traditional printing or engraving techniques used in their designs. Get creative and take your own piece home. Next, we dive into a hands-on cocktail experience, where we'll learn to craft three iconic Cuban cocktails—perfect for impressing friends back home with our newfound mixology skills and the bold, tropical flavors of Cuba.
We will enjoy lunch in a chic restaurant in the area. And in the afternoon, we will embark on a classic convertible car ride through Havana’s colorful neighborhoods, ending at Fusterlandia—a whimsical public art project created by artist José Fuster. Stroll through this mosaic wonderland and discover the story behind its creation and cultural impact.
We'll return to our accommodations to freshen up before heading out to enjoy our farewell dinner at another inviting private restaurant, offering a taste of Havana's vibrant culinary scene.

Day 1 - Arrival in Havana & Walking Tour
Arrive in vibrant Havana, the heart of Cuba’s history and culture. Founded in 1519, Havana's Old Town (Habana Vieja) is a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with colorful colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, and lively plazas. Embark on a guided walking tour through Habana Vieja. Explore iconic sites like Plaza Vieja, Plaza de la Catedral, and El Capitolio. Learn about the city’s Spanish colonial past, the influence of African cultures, and the revolutionary spirit that shapes its modern identity. Then we will head to our accommodations to freshen up and get ready to go out for dinner.

Day 2 - Ceramic Art & Cuban Dance
This morning we will meet Beatriz Santacana, a celebrated Cuban artist known for her vibrant, whimsical sculptures that merge Caribbean culture with modern design. Learn about the importance of ceramics in Cuban art and create your own piece. We will have lunch in a private woman-owned restaurant, known as paladar, before attending a performance that blendings flamenco, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and contemporary dance. Their use of percussion and dance conveys the pulse of Cuban culture.
Return to your accommodations to get some rest before heading out for another delicious meal in one of the city’s growing network of private restaurants (paladares).

Day 3 - Farm-to-Table Experience & Fusterlandia
Today we will go for a short drive outside Havana to visit a local organic farm that operates on permaculture principles, focusing on ecological balance and sustainability. They cultivate a variety of crops, including heirloom and "forgotten" fruits like guanabana, caimito, rollinia, and mamey colorado, as well as medicinal plants such as lemongrass, ginger, turmeric, and Japanese mint.
The farm also implements water catchment systems, wells, and erosion prevention infrastructure to enhance sustainability. Participate in a hands-on cooking experience, learning how traditional Cuban dishes are made using fresh, local ingredients. The growing farm-to-table movement reflects Cuba's innovative response to agricultural challenges. It is then time to enjoy the meal you have prepared.
Our next stop is Fusterlandia, the kaleidoscopic neighborhood created by artist José Fuster. Inspired by Gaudí’s Park Güell in Barcelona, Fuster transformed his own home and community into a sprawling mosaic wonderland celebrating Cuban identity and creativity.
Return to your accommodations and relax or explore more of the city's lively neighborhoods like Vedado or Centro Habana before heading out for another unforgettable dinner at a woman-owned.

Day 4 - Sustainable Fashion, Local Entrepreneurship & Cuban Rhythms
Today will be focused on fashion and entrepreneurship. We will begin with a visit to a fashion store specializing in recycled materials, where Cuban designers creatively repurpose items into stylish clothing and accessories. Engage in a printing or engraving workshop and learn about the burgeoning eco-conscious fashion movement in Cuba.
Then meet a local entrepreneur who has successfully launched her own brand of handmade purses, showcasing innovation and resilience in Cuba’s growing private sector. Hear her story about navigating business in a unique economic environment.
For lunch, we'll taste another delicious Cuban meal at a trendy paladar featuring locally sourced cuisine. Then it's time to move our bodies and take a lively salsa lesson with expert dancers. Salsa is a vital part of Cuban culture, combining Spanish and African influences into one of the world’s most dynamic dance forms.
This evening, ride through Havana in a classic 1950s American convertible, an iconic Cuban experience, and arrive in style at a farewell dinner featuring live Cuban music.

Can US citizens travel to Cuba?
Yes, you can travel to Cuba as a US citizen! Although, the United States is the only country that restricts its citizens from traveling to Cuba for touristic reasons, however, the U.S. does allow travel to Cuba under one of 12 permitted travel categories. Of these categories, most of our travelers are traveling under either "Support for the Cuban People" or "Educational People-to-People" travel.

Can I drink the Water in Cuba?
Generally it's best to drink filtered tap water or bottled water. In an effort to reduce the use of single-use plastic, we encourage you to pack a wide-mouth water bottle with a filter built in. There are many brands available.
What is a Casa particular?
This is something you'll hear in Cuba a lot. A casa particular is a private accommodation or private homestay in Cuba, very similar to a bed and breakfast, although it can also take the form of vacation rental. On this tour you can expect to stay in a mix of traditional accommodations and casas particulares, making for a full and authentic visit to Cuba.
